Golden Rule, Slightly Tarnished
Samaritans need handouts, too
Monica Hesse: Think for a moment about your cellphone.
How many phone numbers does it have?
How many photos?
If it were lost, how long would it take you to reconstruct your life?
If it were found, how much would you pay to get it back?
That's what the voice on the phone was asking Ashton Giese.

Re: Golden Rule, Slightly Tarnished
I love this story! It's one of my pet peeves. People don't do the right thing anymore. They leave their shopping carts in the middle of the parking lot, they don't help a stray dog find it's way home and if they find a cellphone, they want a reward. I love how this is written.
Playful, but with an important message about our culture and what we value.
