Storms
a woman recalls
Tom Treweek: BENTONVILLE - The flag changed direction.
One moment, it was waving toward the south, southeast, maybe east. Then, it snapped the other direction.
That was Chanci Osborne's first indication that the weather was not getting better right away.

Re: Storms
I'd really like to find more narrative reads about these storms. Man, Arkansas (my home state) has taken a beating lately.
In Damascus, a town with 306 people in 2000, a tornado killed three people. That's 1 percent of the population, gone. What does that do to a little country community like that? I used to cover town council meetings there for the Conway paper. Everybody really does know everybody.
If anyone has any other links to share, please do. Or any stories similar to this... I'd like to have them to share with my students when things like this happen.
